Our Founder
Meet our founder, Jan-André, the DJ behind DJ JAM, a seasoned entertainment maestro with over 15 years of experience making moments magic. Born and raised in Durbanville and now residing in Paarl Western Cape.
Jan-André's DJ journey began in 2006 during high school, DJ'ing at School dances of Paul Roos Gimnasium, Bloemhof Girls Highschool in Stellenbosch, Stellenbosch University res dances and birthdays. He also helped as an assistant DJ at weddings, significant corporate events, clubs and year-end functions.
After completing matric in 2010 and obtaining his vehicle driver's license, he moved onto weddings and birthdays around the Western Cape in Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek, Durbanville, Overberg, West Coast and corporate events like DJ'ing at Kyk Net reality show, Boer Soek 'n Vrou wrap-up parties, and the Cape Town International Boat show in V&A Waterfront to name a few. Through the years, his commitment to curating unforgettable memories has only deepened.
The beats of his first DJ company, which he started in 2006, set the tone for unforgettable gatherings, from school dances to international weddings hosted in Stellenbosch & Franschhoek.
As the world shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jan-André took the opportunity to refresh and rebrand to DJ JAM. DJ JAM is a testament to his dedication to delivering high-quality services at an affordable price, ensuring value and vibrancy in every event we touch.
